The 2nd Annual East of the River Vday is happenin' Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Anacostia Playhouse in Southeast, District of Columbia. All proceeds raised from this amazing 1 night, 2 shows, 3 hearts (voting) goes to Calvary Women's Services.

The selections performed are from Eve Ensler's Memory, a Monologue, a Rant and a Prayer ....and your individual story. Please use the hashtag #vdayeotr2016 to share your story or a loved ones. Or if you want to communicate with the performers use the hashtag!

Please take time to arrive fashionably early to be seen on the Pink Carpet, enjoy tasty v-treats and other fun! Also, give yourself ample time to find street parking on Shannon street SE or nearby streets.

The show is being performed in a black box theater, so once the show starts there will not be an intermission and we ask that you remain seated.

During the show to show your love, please use the hashtag #vdayeotr2016 to share your experience.

Also, dig this... you have an oppotunity to cast your vote through Twitter about which performanced tugged your heart strings the most. As an attendee (live or online) you are given 3 virtual hearts. Here is an example of how to cast your vote:

Your vote does three things (1) lets us know which vingettes were the best (2) provides feedback for the cast and (3) it allows for connectivity between the audience.

POST-SHOW

After-Party

If attending the 4pm show there will be a session immediately following to mingle with other guests, cast, beneficiary and partake in libations.

If attending the 8pm show there will be a after party at a TBA location where you can truly let your hair down and jam throughout the night!

Its not enough just to treat women well. We have to work to make sure all men treat women well.
